IMPORTANT NOTICE

To all Members, There has, unfortunately, been a development at Wests Tennis Club regarding Macarthur Country Music Clubs’ Tuesday Night meetings that concerns us all. The Management has approached the MCMC committee about relocating our night of country music. With the knowledge that some members attend meetings of other country music clubs on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday nights we expressed an inability to change our night from Tuesday. This created a concern as, Tuesday night attendees can attest, The Poker players are growing to such a large group Wests would like to put them in the auditorium and as they have Poker or Bingo on all other nights this created a problem. After talking with Management, MCMC were offered a move to Friday nights. The pros & cons were looked at with some reservation by your committee but after all the smoke settled the pros outweighed the cons, in that; The Juniors won’t be pressed to leave early for school the next day. The Wests have agreed to an 11.00pm finish and Being the end of the week, not mid-week, arrangements are being made to get the trailer there earlier for an early start so that we’ll all get more time. We won’t be getting parked out by Poker players. (Who, by the way, make more revenue for Wests than MCMC does.) Members that have been unable to commit time to the club mid-week will find Friday more amicable and so some old faces, we hope, shall return. What better way to wind down the end of the week than doing what we all love to do, rather than worrying about Wednesday morning early starts. From time to time, just as happens on Tuesday nights, some members will, of course, have conflicting Friday night commitments, it will happen, but we will still be there the following week. So put this VERY special date on your calendars and in your diaries, Friday 27th February, this will be our first Friday night meeting at our same old venue. The last Tuesday night will be on Tuesday 17th February. It will be a long haul we know, from 17th to 27th, ten whole days without a club Jam, but we make it through Christmas, so we should be able to make it through to the 27th. Change is never accepted well, but We do hope that this monumental alteration to our clubs meeting night will not adversely affect any members but help us to grow bigger, better and friendlier than ever in this our 30th anniversary year. On Behalf of The Committee.
Yours in Country Music Michael “Boots” Morgan, President
